Temperature and Humidity Chambers Espec
Bench-Top-Series

The Bench-Top models achieve superb performance in a compact size,

and attain temperatures as low as -20 °C/-40 °C/-60 °C, with a capacity of 22,5 or 64 l. The chambers are delivered ready to use and just need a 230 V power supply.

Walk-in type Climatic Chamber and Temperature Chamber by Espec

Espec offer the walk-in type Temperature (Humidity) Chambers H-Series in 8 sizes with an inside capacity from 4,2 m3 to 52,7 m3. The standard temperature range of the chambers is -40 °C to +80 °C. Highest adjustable temperature may be raised to +120 °C by changing the heat insulation specifications. The chambers work within a humidity range of 10 % r. H. to 95 % r. H.

Thermal Shock Chambers ESPEC

Model TSD100 Air to Air

Two-zone thermal shock chamber ideally suited for MIL/IEC/JASO Japanese and international test standards. This new Thermal Shock Chamber from ESPEC is capable of subjecting specimens to uniform thermal stress with a 100 L test area and outstanding thermal distribution characteristics, making them ideally suited for use in a wide range of applications from research and development to inspection and production.

The chamber is compatible with test standards such as MIL-STD-883, JIS C 0025, and JASO-D001. (see p.9, 10)

Improved temperature distribution performance

The chamber feature outstanding temperature distribution characteristics, 30% better than previous ESPEC products during temperature recovery, and include features to ensure uniform air flow to the test area. The specimens are thus subject to a more uniform thermal stress, with variations in test results between specimens minimized.

Reduced test time by moving between two test areas

Temperature exposure is quickly changed by moving the test area up and down between the high-temperature and low-temperature chambers, reducing the time taken to reach the preset temperature as well as test time.

Incorporate new Specimen Temperature Trigger (STT) function

The chamber incorporate an STT function which monitors the specimen temperature using two sensors attached to the specimen and starts to count the exposure time or proceeds to the next step once the specimen temperature reaches the preset temperature. This eliminates the need for advance pretesting, reducing the overall test time and ensuring accurate specimen temperature attainment. The specimen and test area temperatures can be recorded by connecting a temperature recorder.

Reduced power consumption

From the customer's viewpoint, reducing power consumption is a major issue. The TSD-100 incorporates a number of features, including variable refrigeration capacity control using electronic expansion valves, to reduce overall power consumption by approximately 30% (compared with previous ESPEC products).

Thermal Shock Chambers ESPEC

Model TSA Air to Air

Our Thermal Shock Chamber offer totally new performance and style. Shortened temperature recovery times and temperature rise and fall times, reduced power requirements, the use of HFC refrigerants, and the adoption of touch panel instruments for operation settings make the TSA series even easier to use and more environmentally friendly.

  • A revised structure and the development of a new refrigeration control system have realized a 37% reduction in power consumption.

  • A temperature recovery time of less than 5 minutes is realized for the 2-zone (+150°C and -65°C) and 3-zone circulated air (less than 10 minutes for the TSA-201S and TSA-301L).

  • The air blower mechanism uses a side flow system for superior sample temperature distribution.

  • Material designations are used on plastic components to facilitate easy material recycling.

  • Operation noise generated by the unit has been reduced to less than 65 dB to improve the work environment.
